Fermoy GAA was left devastated by the passing of our former Chairperson and leader Brendan Keane in the early hours of Wednesday 14th February. Brendan always had a keen interest in the affairs and progress of our club, in fact his late father Michael was an outstanding member during the period from the middle 1950s to middle 1960s.Michael was prominent in establishing Fermoy as hurling club as well as a Gaelic Football club which we were renowned for at the time. Fantastic end of season in Kilworth this morning for our U9s. An amazing bunch of lads that worked hard all season and it showed in all of their games. Thanks to the mentors for their dedication and of course the parents for all their support.Well done all

This morning in a sunny Fermoy pitch we held the inagural Tom Grumbridge memorial football tournament. There was six teams that took part Fermoy, Ballyporeen, Kilavullen , St Catherine’s, Kiltha Óg and Lisgoold. The games were very well contested with some great skills on show from all teams. Fermoy beat Lisgoold in the Cup final. Killavullen beat St Catherine’s in the shield final. Kiltha Óg beat Ballyporeen in the plate final. Well done to all teams on a great display of football skill..

Our Fé7 team made the trip to Páirc Uí Chaoimh today for their first Monster Blitz at Cork GAA HQ. 4 Fermoy teams lined out against top opposition from The Glen, Erin's Own, Millstreet, Ballycastle, and Diarmaid Ó Mathúna's. The boys performed brilliantly as always and worked hard for the full blitz. Their team play and fighting spirit was matched by great skill and attitude. Coming Soon..........Follow the recent success of the mothers and others group, Fermoy Gaa are now looking at kicking off a Dads and Lads group.The aim is to kick this off over the coming weeks in the clubs new astroturf facility.All ages and levels will be catered for.The aim is to do a bit of training and have the craic. Our Fé7 team made the trip to Whitechurch this morning for a hurling blitz. In perfect conditions, the teams put in fantastic effort and worked tirelessly for the hour. The skill levels and tenacity were great to see, and they are looking forward to representing the club next weekend in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
